ALAMO BATTLEFIELD

TOURS

Before you see the Alamo let us take you on a journey back to the year of 1836 when the complete Alamo existed!!! Today only the church and the long barracks remain. Our tour guides will take you back to the battle of the Alamo and show you the massive size of the famous compound. Come join us for a very unique walking tour of the Battle of the Alamo!!! What makes this tour so special is that your tour guides are not regular guides; they are experienced living historians dressed in 1836 period dress and are carrying period replica weapons from the famous battle. Our guides have worked on documentaries for the History Channel, Discovery Channel and PBS. You may ask what a living historian is. Living Historians are individuals who study a specific era in history and decide to learn everything and anything there is to learn on that subject. These individuals will then apply all the historical facts they have learned and develop an impression of a historical soldier or specific person in time. Before the tour begins, our guides will explain in detail what they are wearing and give insights that only they as living historians could convey. You would then be lead on a tour of the compound and be given an in-depth history of what took place at each position during the famous battle.

Thank you for your interest in Alamo Battlefield Tours.
